Clergy Hospitality: Complimentary Hotel Stays at Select PHG Hotels for Clergy

Priests, Bishops, and Daily Communicants,

For many years, the Pacific Hospitality Group (“PHG”), a hospitality company with thirteen hotels throughout various states, has offered clergy hospitality in partnership with the Napa Institute. PHG provides a free room to a Roman Catholic Priest who offers Mass in one of the three hotels with chapels. Today, these chapels are located at Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, CA, the Ko’a Kea Resort in Poipu, Kauai in the islands of Hawaii, and Hotel Viata in the northwest side of the City of Austin, Texas.

When traveling, consider these locations and invite your favorite priest, who stays for free so long as he celebrates Holy Mass for the guests each day. The priest is also offered a 20% discount on food purchased in the hotel, or he can dine at the hotel team members’ restaurant for lunch and dinner at no cost.

Through this program, I have met many great priests who have stimulated ideas to expand the footprint of Napa Institute, including the Shepherd’s Circle, an invite-only fraternal program for priests under age 40 who are identified as future leaders of our church. It has been a pleasure meeting priests through this program from all across the country.

This is a rewarding way for us to give back to the clergy while also bringing the sacraments to faith-filled guests at PHG hotels.

Clergy Hospitality is available to all priests, so please pass on this link to your pastor or priest friends so they can populate these hotels and allow us to offer daily Holy Mass and ministry to hotel guests.
