Experience Itinerary
Synopsis: Taking place before Napa Institute’s Eucharistic Procession and Faith and Business Conference, we will be flying to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, to honor Mr. Jimmy Lai. Not only are we touring this wonderful area during Fall, known for its colors; we will also have guest speakers for our dinners, in a convivial atmosphere, discussing the legacy of Jimmy Lai.
October 9: Arrival of Guests and Dinner Reception
Niagara-on-the-Lake is an historic Victorian Town that has preserved much of its 19th century charm and its buildings. Taking a walk through the town in the Southern Ontario Fall colors is truly a peaceful and wonderful experience. During this trip, we will have talks from persons who know Jimmy Lai, whose legacy of faith and virtue is valuable for Catholics and entrepreneurs alike.
October 10: Niagara Falls: A natural wonder of the world
After breakfast and morning Mass, we will visit Niagara Falls, notably the Horseshoe Falls, which is only a 30 minute drive away from Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Canadian Side of the Falls is impressive. The waters thunder down into a canyon from a height of 188 feet, and its edge is 2200 feet long. After lunch we will visit Fort George, which fought off the attacks of Americans into Upper Canada in the War of 1812. This is an interesting museum that has period-costumed docents, and allows us to go back in time to see the culture of Upper Canada.
October 11: In the morning, we will have Mass at the beautiful Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, in St. Catharine’s, Ontario. This is about a 30 minute drive from Niagara-on-the-Lake. After lunch, we will have some free time to explore the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, especially visiting the Apothecary. Dinner will be at a local winery for a festive meal with wine pairings. This is highlighted by the famous Icewine of the region.
October 12: After Mass at the hotel, there is departure of guests.
