Venezia, April 18-21, 2027

Sunday April 18: Departure for Venice: Rome to Venice (3.5 Hours). Early Afternoon Arrival in Venice. Reception and Dinner: Club del Doge.

Monday April 19: San Marco; Doge’s Palace and San Zaccaria in the morning; Libreria dell’ Acqua.  Lunch: Osteria Oliva Nera.  Afternoon: Santa Maria dei Frari. Gondola Ride or boat tour at Dusk: on Side canals.  Grand Canal is very busy. 

Tuesday, April 20: 8:30 am departure from Hotel. About 1.5 hours from Venice.  Stopover at Padova for Mass at Basilica di San’t Antonio and tour of Basilica with the Sacred Reliquaries. Late Lunch at Cantina Marchesi Fumanelli (Cantina Marchesi Fumanelli).  Return to Venice in time for dinner:  Free Evening. Give guests restaurant recommendations. Optional if people want to stay together as a group.

Wednesday, April 21:  Scuole Grande e Chiesa di San Rocco.  This will take most of the morning.  Lunch:  Free Afternoon. Dusk: Evening Walk through Dorsoduro.  Cicchetti and Wine at a local baccaro by the canals (5pm);  Dinner at 7:30pm, near Dorsoduro, possibly overlooking Giudecca.  

Milano, April 22-25, 2027

Thursday, April 22:  Train Ride to Milan from Rome (3.5 hours). Arrive in time for 1pm lunch. Churches to See:  Tour of Duomo in the late afternoon; Evening Mass at the Duomo in the Ambrosian Rite.  Dinner at a Fine local Restaurant. 

Friday, April 23:  Sant’ Ambrogio, Santa Maria delle Grazie (Last Supper). Free Afternoon. Dinner on your own. 

Saturday, April 24: Day trip to San Pietro in Ciel d’Oro, Pavia:  St. Augustine’s tomb – Climax of our Pilgrimage; Lanfranco, Carthusian monastery etc.:  Return for VIGIL MASS. Dinner: Michelin * Resto or equal rep.

Dress Code for Trip

When visiting Rome, Venice or Milan, it’s essential to be mindful of the dress code—especially when entering churches, basilicas, and the Vatican. Many religious sites require both men and women to have their shoulders covered. To help you prepare for your trip, here are a few suggested guidelines:

1. Casual Attire

  • Jeans, slacks, casual dresses, or skirts (at or below the knee)
  • Tops with covered shoulders
  • Comfortable shoes such as sneakers or sandals

2. Business Casual Attire

  • Slacks, dresses, or skirts (at or below the knee)
  • Blouses or tops with covered shoulders
  • Optional jacket
  • Casual shoes

3. Business/ Cocktail  Attire

  • Men: Suit or blazer with slacks and a tie
  • Women: Suit (pants or skirt) or a dress at or below the knee
  • More formal shoes
